Abstract
The Law Society of Jersey (http://www.jerseylawsociety.je/) is the governing body of lawyers practising as Advocates and Solicitors of the Royal Court of Jersey in the Channel Islands. The Law Society of Jersey’s aim is ensure that its members, provide a high level of service and professionalism, at all times, to all those who engage their legal services.
The general purpose of the Code of Conduct in force from time to time is to specify the standards of conduct on the part of members of the Law Society of Jersey which are appropriate in the interests of the profession and of justice. The Code of Conduct applies to all members whenever admitted to membership.
Breaches of the Code of Conduct may represent professional misconduct and may be subject to disciplinary action.
