At the 2009 Workshop of the National Institute for Teaching Ethics & Professionalism (www.law.gsu/niftep), Margaret Raymond demonstrated an exercise designed to familiarize students with lawyer-client communication. The workshop participants were divided into pairs of clients and lawyers and asked to initiate discussions based on a fact pattern. The pairs then reported and discussed their results on whether they decided to settle or try the case.
