Abstract
The Final Report of the most substantial review of legal education and training in England and Wales since the Ormrod Report in 1971. It contains significant recommendations for the teaching of professional ethics, including recommendations that the initial (undergraduate) stage of legal education should include reference to an understanding of the relationship between morality and law, the values underpinning the legal system, and the role of lawyers in relation to those values.
It also contains significant recommendations in respect of the continuing professional development of practising lawyers.
