Abstract
This article is one of seven articles in a 2012 Santa Clara Law Review volume focusing on leadership education for lawyers and law students. In evaluating the competencies necessary to succeed in contemporary law practice, Professor Daicoff "synthesizes a number of empirical studies identifying the skills and competencies important for effective lawyering." Daicoff then "explores twelve disciplines that provide training for law students in these skills and competencies and advocate the synthesis of these twelve fields, in an effort prepare lawyers more effectively for the legal profession of the future."
